October 2011
This is a busy month for me. I have just moved to Bristol and have been lucky enough to move in with Emma Kerr
from Hooping Mad (www.hoopingmad.co.uk). Myself and my friend Clare have entered the Hooping.org Amazing Race
competition and so far have got through the casting stage....woo hoo! We are now waiting on tender hooks to find
out what next challenge will be. You can watch our casting video here

September 2011
Gosh, where has this month gone! The fire show went well on the Island, I have some video footage I will be
editing and uploading to YouTube when I get back to the UK. Most of this month has been spent travelling around
Indonesia getting in some hoop and acro practice where I can. I am currently in Bangkok and will be flying back
to the UK in a couple of days in time to head to the
Bristol Juggling Convention.
August 2011
I have been to Malaysia for the last few weeks with a good friend from the UK. I am now on a beautiful Island
in Indonesia where the beaches are white sand and the water is warm and clear. We have met some lovely fire
spinners and will be performing with them tomorrow at the Paradise Sunset Bar. I will be show casing my double
fire hoops in a show for the first time so wish me luck!
July 2011
What an exciting few weeks I have ahead of me. I will be running a workshop which will be an introduction
to poi hooping. It will take place in Auckland on 16th July. Here is the link:
Girl on Fire - Poi Hooping Workshop
I will then be heading down to Wellington to meet some local hoopers and old friends stopping on the way to see some
traditional Maori poi which I am very excited about.
June 2011
This month see’s me going on a new adventure, I am sadly leaving Australia and all the beautiful faeries,
hoopers and generally lovely people I have met on my way. I have lots of things to look forward to though,
as I am heading to New Zealand!
May 2011
This month I am taking a break from performing and teaching to work on new material. I have some great ideas
and new tricks to practice.
April 2011
I have arrived in Sydney after some epic adventures and getting rained in en-route by the crazy weather.
I am looking forward to catching up with the Sydney hoopers and swapping some tricks. You can find me
performing at Earth Hour on Saturday 26th March in Darling Harbour with the La La sisters - Jewelz and Lisa.
March 2011
I will be running a beginners hoop workshop in Warrnambool, Victoria on Monday 7th March 19:30 – 20:30.
Workshops will cost $20 per person if you bring your own hoop or $55 per person for the workshop and a
beautifully handmade hoop to take home and keep. Because of limited space in my van, I am unable to carry
and store workshop hoops so I will be unable to loan any out for the session. If you would like to purchase
a hoop and not attend the workshop, they will be $35 each. Please contact me for further information.
February 2011
After the bump for the Garden had finished I took a well earned weeks holiday before organizing a one off
Hoop Master Class in Adelaide. This workshop was a resounding success with participants happy to go home
with lots of new tricks to learn.
I also managed to watch some Fringe shows and support a good friend of mine on the opening night of her show, Fire and Breath, a combination of singing, storytelling and fire performance.
January 2011
A new year and a busy start! After a busy new year and Christmas period there was no rest time for GoF. New
years day saw shaking off her faerie wings and performing with the Eco Faeries and Wasamba for three days at
South Bound Festival in Bussleton. A resounding success, and a favourite part of the event for many festival goers.
At the end of January Girl on Fire hit the road for another adventure. Her first stop was the Karnidale Circus Festival
run by Luna Circus in Carridale, WA where she hosted a hoop dance workshop. Then it was a mad dash to Adelaide to
bump for The Garden of Unearthly Delights, part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
